Breast Augmentation

Immediately following the procedure, elastic bandages or a support bra may be applied to breasts to minimize swelling following surgery.

Tubes may also be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid that may collect. These may removed in 3 to 5 days post operation.

While breast augmentation yields immediately visible results, the truly final results may take 1 to 4 months to appear, as that will depend on when the postoperative swelling subsides.

Incision lines may take a year to fade.

Please note that breast implants are not considered to have an infinite lifetime and they may need to be replaced/ removed. An annual examination to evaluate the patient’s breast health as well as implant integrity is mandatory.
